"Ain't that a shame? You're the one to blame."

Ain't That a Shame - Fats Domino

It hurts to type this.

No, like it really hurts. Yesterday, I went to a colorguard clinic and succeeded in jamming my two middle fingers on my right hand and bruising the tips of two more.

So this is painful. That's how much I love you guys. Yeah.

So instead, I show you my latest finished product: a hat for my friend Caitlyn.

It was my first venture into lace knitting, and I like how it turned out. I used a pattern called "The Antelope Hat", which is cool in itself.

May the force be with y'all.

That's too cute. I've been wanting to learn crochet, but this give knitting a good race for which one I'll learn. You've got talent. =]

I hope your fingers feel better!

That was me last year, all my friends just seemed to disapear and I was home, planless, like every weekend. IT sucked. It is sorta the same this year but a little better. I know how you feel- it is probably one of the worst feelings in the world!! Why don't you see if some of the people you talk to in school ever wanna just go grab ice cream or something? Easier said than done I know.

I too am a huge complainer. I don't even mean to be but I am! It sucks and I am trying to get better hah!

Hope everything gets better soon :)

That hat is adorable! I can't knit at all, and I can only crochet scarves. I am jealous of those people who can make something that isn't a straight line!

Amen, sister. To everything [except the knitting]. Even though I've made up with my friends we still don't do as much as we did last year. I feel like a hermit. I just keep thinking another year until I can start over. But I guess the good thing about being by myself a lot more is that I've learned more about myself. And it's made me more independent.

Sorry about your fingers, and I'm sorry you're struggling over friendships. I definitely can relate.

The hat is great!
