"Sweet Southern comfort, carry on."

So I've stolen yet another meme from The Tsaritsa [they are just so damn fun!].

This one is about accents!

[Like regional accents...not the things you put over letters en espanol.]

It's easy. Just video tape yourself saying the following things. Supposedly, they are clear indicators of the region you're from. Haha.

The List

- aunt
- route
- wash
- oil
- theatre
- iron
- salmon
- caramel
- fire
- water
- sure
- data
- ruin
- crayon
- toilet
- New Orleans
- pecan
- both
- again
- probably
- spitting image
- Alabama
- lawyer
- coupon
- mayonnaise
- syrup
- pajamas
- caught

The Questions

- What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?

- What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?

- What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?

- What do you call gym shoes?

- What do you say to address a group of people?

- What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?

- What do you call your grandparents?

- What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?

- What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?

- What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

Here is mine!:

[Putting a video up is a pain in the ass.]

[I swear I'm not this awkward all the time.]

[Isn't that always the case when you see a video of yourself?]

May the force be with y'all.

This is such a cute idea! If I every figure out video I may do it!

your blog doesn't show up when there's a new post in my dashboard or whatever it is when blogs show up! Wierd!

I ALWAYS seem awkward when I see a video of myself. I never think it sounds like me either. I think I come off as sounding like a hippie. Which I guess I do because I've had people mock me by imitating a hippie.

I love this video! You have the best accent EVER. And I love "the devil's beating his wife" term. I think I'll start saying that here in Oregon.

I've actually listened to some of those from out of the states [new zealand, london and Australia] and they ALL say TPing too. I don't even know what else you would call it. But they DID have different words for everything else, like a shopping cart was a "trolley" and they called soda "fizzy drink". This is a great culture shock.

All that being said, I haven't been ignoring your updates. I actually just got all of them put on my feed! I'm a little annoyed about it, but oh well. Expect quite a few comments from me today. =]
